Public Servants at DotGov Design
Investing in public design, together
At Public Servants LLC, we believe design in service of the public good thrives when communities of practice come together—when practitioners share openly, support one another, and elevate the work of civic service. That’s why we’re proud to sponsor both DotGov Design and AIGA DC this year.
Our sponsorship isn’t about putting our name on a banner. It’s about creating opportunities and reducing barriers for those committed to designing better public systems. That means:
Supplying public service–affirming swag that celebrates the often-unseen contributions of civic servants.
Providing free tickets so members of the community—especially students and early-career practitioners—can participate without cost as a barrier.
Supporting mentorship and advising for the DotGov Design initiative and the AIGA DC chapter so they can continue to grow, evolve, and thrive—sustaining the communities that sustain public design.
DotGov Design began as an idea and a gathering point for government designers. Ashleigh Axios, our founder, co-created the initiative and served as the first chair of the conference. The vision was simple but ambitious: connect and empower those designing within government so they wouldn’t have to work in isolation. Years later, that vision continues to grow.

AIGA DC has long been a vital hub for design leadership and civic engagement in the Washington D.C. region. Its programming nurtures both the craft and conscience of design, making it a natural partner for those who care about the role of design in democracy and community life.
Public Servants exists to help governments and civic organizations modernize systems, engage communities, and accelerate policy adoption—with integrity, excellence, and courage. Sponsoring DotGov Design and AIGA DC is one way we live those values beyond our client work.
We’re here to strengthen the broader ecosystem of public service design. Because when public servants are supported, connected, and seen, they’re better able to create systems and experiences that work for all of us.
“Public servants do some of the hardest work in our society. By investing in the communities that connect, equip, and encourage them, we’re helping ensure that this field not only survives, but flourishes.”
